“Shogi First Steps” is an experimental GPT that answers elementary questions for beginners interested in learning the game. It cannot provide advanced analysis or advice. The elementary information covered includes:

1. Introduction to Pieces and Movements;
2. Gakoi (Defensive Castles);
3. Fundamental Rules;
4. Basic Strategies for Beginners;
5. Global Links.

Graphic references and control links have been included to prevent potential “hallucinations” from the AI.

It was not possible to include kifu and opening databases, even short ones, as the AI does not seem to retain the shogiban coordinate system or move sequences.
